#171 – The Strange Color of Your Body’s Tears (2013)

171 Strange Color

This week, for restitution for having egregiously picked an Asylum movie last week, Kyle has subjected Lincoln to one of his favorite things: weird foreign movies! They have watched and will discuss the 2013 Belgian film The Strange Color of Your Body’s Tears, which has been described as “a psychosexual fantasia” and “fucking weird” by various outlets. As Kyle is fond of sayng, it’s like if David Lynch decided to make a Dario Argento film. So it’s something else. They also talk about British spy movies and crap like that too.

#170 – Asteroid vs Earth (2014)

170 Asteroid vs Earth

This week, because Lincoln did no research, he has accidentally chosen an Asylum film for the first ep of 2015, entitled Asteroid vs Earth, a horribly stupid disaster movie starring no one and featuring nothing. He and Kyle also discuss the buncha movies and television programmes they watched between Christmas and now. There are many things. MANY THINGS.

EXTRASODE: #17 – New Year’s Evil (1980)

z New Years Evil redo

Don’t say we never did nothin for ya! To celebrate New Year’s Eve even further, we’re giving you an extra bit of content in the form of a throwback episode to our very first New Years episode, #17, New Year’s Evil, a terrible stupid slasher movie set at the turn of the year. Enjoy how young we sound, how much we just tell you what happens in the movie, and how much we swear. Man, it’s a lot.

Also, in the intro, Lincoln and Kyle make a big deal about the old theme song, “Funky Butt,” but this episode in fact does not contain it. So that’s pretty stupid.

Thanks for listening and Happy New Year’s!

#169 – HIMYM “The Limo” Commentary

169 HIMYM The Limo

Just because we’re lazy, for this year’s New Years episode, all we’re doing is bantering for ten minutes and then doing a commentary of How I Met Your Mother Season 1, Episode 11 “The Limo,” in which Ted rents a limousine for the gang on New Years Eve. It’s a fun episode and everything. Please listen along!

And thanks for listening to us throughout 2014. As a little added bonus, on actual New Years Eve, we’ll be giving you a throwback bonus episode from all the way back to our first New Years Eve as a podcast. Enjoy that!

#168 – Community Ep S2 E11 Commentary

168 Community Xmas

Happy Holidays, you all! In honor of it being the holidays, and in honor of Lincoln having just returned to the country after a super honeymoon, most of this episode is a catch-up but there will be a holiday tinge when they do a commentary of Community Season 2, Episode 11 “Abed’s Uncontrollable Christmas,” which has all the folks living inside Abed’s claymation holiday special fantasy. That’s what we call fun!

If you think this is fun/time-wasty, just wait until next week’s New Years episode…

#167 – Santa Claus Conquers the Martians (1964) w/ Josh Long

167 Santa Claus Conquers the Martians

Believe it or not, Lincoln is STILL out of the country, so Kyle is again forced to have a guest. But at least it’s a cool guest! His friend Josh Long, of the podcast More Than One Lesson, stops by to talk about all the low-budget horror movies he’s worked on, as well as to dive headlong into the 1964 silly-bonkers Christmas movie, Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. It’s just as insane as it sounds.

Follow Josh on Twitter.

#165 – Ernest Saves Christmas (1988)

165 Ernest Saves Christmas

Because Mr. Lincoln is a fan of rushing the Christmas season, he has chosen for this week’s barely-December film, Ernest Saves Christmas from 1988 starring Jim Varney as Ernest P. Worrell and a fisheye lens as his best friend Vern. Besides the movie itself, the boys are fascinated with the history of Ernest as an entity, going from local TV commercial celeb, to national commercial celeb, to Emmy-winning childrens’ TV host, to making a series of progressively stupid movies. Quite a weird career, there. Also discussed are plays friends are in, Lincoln’s getting way into The West Wing, and Kyle’s getting way into nothing.

#164 – The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951) w/ Paul Heath

164 The Day the Earth Stood Still

At last, Lincoln and Kyle have been joined by the newly emigrated Paul Heath to discuss the last in our impromptu science fiction classics month, this time being Robert Wise’s 1951 masterpiece, The Day the Earth Stood Still, which tells everybody not to be a dick to each other. Also, much of the episode is dedicated to discussing the finale of the series of Doctor Who, and also there’s talk of superhero television shows, cats throwing up in trash cans, and books about egg nog.

Be sure to subscribe to Paul’s podcasts, The Pharos Project and Hammered Horror.

#163 – Fantastic Voyage (1966)

163 Fantastic Voyage

Continuing Old Sci-Fi Movie Month, Lincoln and Kyle discuss 1966’s Fantastic Voyage, a movie where people get shrunk and enter a human body. Joe Dante later did the same thing but funnier. They marvel at the special effects, chuckle at Donald Pleasence, and muse about Raquel Welch. Also talked about are new episodes of Gotham, the newest Hobbit movie trailer, the newfound vehicular mobility of Kyle and a new job for Lincoln, and the internet sensation that is Too Many Cooks.

Next week, Paul Heath joins us! Get ready for that shit!
